Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies PlanySoft ("we", "us", "our") uses on lifey.planysoft.com and planysoft.com, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle personal data more broadly.
Section 01
Overview
We use a small, deliberately short list of cookies to run the site and the sign-in flow, and nothing beyond that. We do not run advertising cookies, we do not sell or share data collected through cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites.
Section 02
What are cookies
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember something between page loads or visits — that you are signed in, or that you already answered a prompt. Some cookies are deleted when you close your browser ("session" cookies); others persist for a set time ("persistent" cookies).
We also use local storage, a similar browser mechanism, for a couple of the same purposes. This policy covers both, since the distinction rarely matters to you as a visitor.
Section 03
Cookies we use
Every cookie below is set by us, directly — not by an ad network or an analytics vendor.
| Name / storage key | Purpose | Duration | Can you refuse? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Keeps the browser sign-in pages (auth.html) working and CSRF-protected | Ends when you close your browser | No — required for sign-in to function |
| CSRF cookie | Confirms a form submission came from our own page, not a forged request | Session | No — required for sign-in to function |
| Auth tokens (local storage) | Keeps you signed in across visits once you have signed in | Until you sign out or the token expires | Yes — clearing it just signs you out |
| Cookie consent choice (local storage) | Remembers that you answered the cookie banner, so we do not ask again | 12 months | Yes — clearing it just re-shows the banner |
We do not run analytics or advertising cookies on the site today. If that changes, this table and the banner's category list will change with it, and we will not backdate the update.
Section 04
Third-party cookies
Signing in with Google or Microsoft hands you off to that provider's own page, which sets its own cookies under its own policy — we do not control those and this policy does not cover them. We do not embed third-party ad, analytics or social widgets that would set cookies on our pages on your behalf.
Section 05
Your choices
The banner shown on your first visit lets you accept or decline the cookies that are not strictly necessary. You can change your mind at any time:
- Block cookies in your browser — every major browser lets you block or delete cookies from its settings; doing so for strictly necessary cookies will prevent sign-in from working
- Sign out — removes the auth token that keeps you signed in across visits
Section 06
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as the site or its cookies change. We will update the "Effective" date at the top of this page when we do, and for material changes — a new cookie category, or a new third party — we will also update the consent banner so returning visitors are asked again.
